It’s so very nearly Christmas!  The presents are wrapped, the decorations are going up today and the turkey is out to thaw.  I’ve bought some solar powered fairy lights for the garden this year – I don’t think that they will get a run this year as there hasn’t been enough sunlight to charge the batteries ~ perhaps they will have to stay up to celebrate the new year, then birthdays and then the Chinese New Year…and any other occasion that comes along.  If it were up to me there would be a law to have fairy lights up all year long!

We don’t have a tree in our house, for no other reason than practicality.  There’s not a lot of space and there is also one very inquisitive puppy (as you can see!).  So we have a Christmas cabinet instead.  At least we can see the presents!

All this rain has been wonderful and the garden seems to be growing before our eyes!  I think that it finally got a bit too wet yesterday.  The frogs were taking shelter on the back door! They were the teeniest, tiniest frogs (about 1.5cm) and after over 80mm of rain over the last few days, no wonder they we looking for somewhere dry!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  I hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy the time with your family and friends (and perhaps a bit of time to do some stamping and scrapping!).
